"We now have 4,261 patient emails we've collected….hard to believe we saw over 1500 new patients last year…just launching Diabetes campaign…"

The quote above is from one of the Top Practices Marketing Mastermind Group members. When I got this email this week, I sat down and did a calculation. 1500 new patients at $450 average per patient would be $675,000 in additional revenue this year. If you use a higher number as has been suggested to me by very astute podiatrists, then the number climbs over 1 Million - in one year!  I would define that as a very successful year.

Here's the exciting part: Anyone can do this. Anyone.

I recently heard someone very smart say that "success leaves footprints" Diane, my partner in Top Practices, poked me in the ribs, leaned over to me and said, "That's Top Practices."  She's right.

I've been a very careful student of successful practices and businesses for quite some time now and I can testify that successful people and successful businesses leave footprints and that we can all follow them. And I've noticed that the truly successful people all do THE SAME THINGS. No exceptions.  Some of the most successful members of the Top Practices Mastermind Group are succeeding, not because they are creative and exceptionally gifted, but because they have learned what others are doing that works and then they just copy it (walk in the footprints) and succeed too. And then some of them have even left footprints of their own that others are now following.

Here are some footprints to help you on your journey towards success:

1. You don't have to do it alone.  One of the indicators of success is how willing someone is to get connected to others. It turns out that there are a lot of smart, successful people who are willing to share exactly how they succeeded with others. This is a trait I've recognized in truly successful people. They reach a point and then want to start sharing and giving back to others. Without this trait, they don't continue to grow and develop. You've got to work on yourself and your business or else you're doomed to live the same year over again and again as conditions continue to deteriorate.

Footprint #1: You are the average of the five people you hang out with the most. Hang out with, listen to, and talk to winners and eventually you'll join the ranks of the winners. Guaranteed.

2. Successful People Spend Money. Investing in your business is always a hard choice, because we all naturally want to take as much money out of our business as we possibly can. The truly successful people are the first ones to buy a new book, or order the new DVD, or go to the right meeting. Dr. Hal Ornstein says "We're all too busy to make money." He's right. Because the most successful people I know and work with, are always the first ones to sign up, register, or buy anything that will make them even more successful.

Footprint #2: You've got to spend money to make money. Invest in a part time marketing person who is devoted to nothing but growing and developing your practice and give them the tools they need to be successful. Bombard your own brain with positive, useful ideas and work to implement as many of them as you possibly can.

3. Success Leaves Footprints. Your level of business and personal success is only limited by your ability to conceptualize what success really means to you. Our members are currently experiencing rapid and accelerating growth. I'm routinely hearing doctors tell me, "I'm really busy. We are booked out farther than we've ever been." They are implementing a wide range of simple, yet powerful marketing strategies. The key phrase here is A WIDE RANGE.

Footprint #3: You can't do one or two things and sit back to watch the results. You have to implement a wide range of marketing strategies that each produce some results. When taken together, they add up to a big result. When I got the email that said, "We now have 4,261 patient emails we've collected….hard to believe we saw over 1500 new patients last year…just launching Diabetes campaign…)  I knew it was simply a combination of a good marketing foundation and a wide range of efforts that produced that result.

Anyone can do it. Why not you?  I invite you to visit www.TopPractices.com or send me an email at [email protected] to find out how you can join the group and follow the footprints of success.

Dedicated to your success,
