Hi, it's Tina, and I'm here with your one-minute management tip.
Do you want to build a stronger, more connected team? Well, you can start with this one simple phrase: "Thank you for being here today."
In a world where showing up consistently is no small thing anymore, your employees need to know that their presence matters every single day. When you thank someone for showing up and serving patients, you're not just being polite to them—you're acknowledging their commitment and that you appreciate it. It says: "I see you. I appreciate you. You make a difference here."
And guess what? People who feel appreciated are more engaged, more loyal, and they're more likely to go the extra mile that we would need in our practices.
So whether you're the doctor, the manager, or a team lead, take 10 seconds each day to thank someone for being a part of the practice's mission. It costs nothing—it's free—but the return that the gratitude you show will be enormous.
Go ahead, try it. You might be surprised how powerful those few words really are.
And if you'd like to talk more about this topic or some other practice management topic in your practice, all you have to do is email me at Tina@TopPractices.com, or Dr. Peter Wishnie at Peter@TopPractices.com.
You take care. Bye now.
