Hi, welcome to today’s One Minute Management Tip, my name is Tina Del Buono. Do you know what? According to a 2015 survey that Monster did, 76% of the employed workforce felt dread on Sunday evening. You know what? There are many things that successful people do on Sunday in order to set their work week up for success. And I’m going to go through just a few of them with you.

First of all, why not plan something fun for Sunday evening? Maybe it’s movie night with your family. Maybe it’s date night. Maybe you gather for a family potluck. But something that you can look forward to. Or, how about get organized for your week and review your Monday? This is something that I do. I think about what I have to do for the week, and then I do my Monday to-do list. It makes me feel better about waking up in the morning. I know I’m ready to go.

Another great thing you can do, and this can be a wonderful family thing, is go for a walk after your Sunday brunch or dinner. Anytime you get out in the opening and you’re doing something good for yourself, like walking, you feel good.

How about read from a motivational book before you go to bed at night? You know, unwind with something positive. Something that you look forward to. And then, you also can plan a routine for your Sunday night before you go to bed. Something that allows you to unplug from your phones, from your TV, from your computer. A relaxing routine – that maybe it’s a hot shower, maybe it’s a nice bath, maybe it’s reading or devotional time, but something that you plan that you do every Sunday evening that you look forward to. You will wake up so much happier on Monday morning and ready to go to work.

End Sunday on a high note, not on dread. Well, this is my One Minute Management Tip for you. If you have any questions just email me at [email protected].
