Hi, it's Tina, and I'm here with your one-minute management tip. Who likes people problems? No one does. And far too often, we'd like to brush them under the carpet and not deal with them, but that's my tip for you today. Don't wait when there's a problem. When someone brings it to you, you need to be able to act quickly.

You need to be able to listen to your team member responsively and then give a positive, quick reaction that's appropriate to whatever the issue is. So that's going to take listening and understanding. And one way to avoid people having to bring you problems is to be a walkabout manager or business owner. One that you are out there with your people.

You're listening to the things that are going on daily in the practice. I know for many years I had my own private office and it was just too easy to stay in my office. Now I sit in the front office with everyone else and I walk about, to go visit the back office to find out what's going on and if there's anything I can do to help.

So if you need some help in this area, all you have to do is email me at [email protected] or Dr. Peter Wishnie at [email protected]. We'd be happy to talk to you about any of your practice management needs. Well, you take care and stay safe out there. Bye-bye now.
