What phase is your practice in?

Hi, I'm Dr. Peter Wishnie and here's another one-minute practice management tip.

What phase is your practice in? Is it in the growth phase? Is it in the, I want to stay stable phase? Or is it actually declining?

Now, it doesn't matter what's going on in the environment or what's going on, you need to have a positive mindset. And actuality, that's only one phase your practice should be in, and that is the growth phase. You know why? Because nothing stays the same. If you want it to stay the same because you love where you are, guess what will happen? It will die down. If you stay focused on your numbers and you look at them every single day, every single week, you'll eventually see a small decline in your numbers. And if you see that you can catch it, you can fix it and get your numbers back up. So in essence, if you don't keep your mind on your practice, it will go down. And now I want you to have a mindset of growth. Always be in the mindset of growth again, because nothing stays the same. And if you're like, "Oh, you know what? It's a pandemic. Patients don't want to come in." Again, that's a mindset. Figure out how you can get those patients back in the door. The ones that really need to get in because we provide a tremendous service and grow your practice. Always grow your practice. In the meantime, stay focused and have a great day.
