Hi, it's Tina. And I'm here with your one-minute management tip.

Recently, one of our members asked, "How do you keep staff members engaged and wanting to learn?" Well, there is a simple trick to this and that's if the doctor stays engaged with the staff members. That means taking the time to really know them, know what they like, but also inviting them to learn more about what your practice does, what services you offer, and not just handing them something to read but actually showing them.

You know, maybe you really like to do wound care. Well, ask the staff members, "Who would like to know more about wound care? Would you like to see some pictures? Would you like to step in while I debride a wound?" Or maybe you do Shockwave or laser. Teach them about what you do. Let them witness it. Let them know that by them understanding what you do in the practice and becoming more educated, you're elevating the service that your practice is going to be able to give your patients and that the staff are very valuable in doing that.

When you invest in someone, then they will invest in you. So take the time to invest in the people who work in your practice because remember they are your number one asset. If you have any questions, you can email me at [email protected] or Dr. Peter Wishnie at [email protected].

Stay safe out there, and I'll talk to you soon. Bye-bye.
