Hey, do you hate surprises? I do too.

Hi, I'm Dr. Peter Wishnie and here's another One-Minute Practice Management Tip.

Surprises, good, or bad. Maybe we like good surprises. Maybe we realize that, but we definitely do not like bad surprises. And if you've been in practice long enough, you know what? Things does sometimes happen. But it's the way you handle the surprises. These so bad situations that might come about. And you know what? Every single morning I want you to say, "I'm going to make this an amazing day. Today's going to be a great day. No matter what comes my way, I'm going to make it happen. I'm gonna make it a great day." This way you don't overreact to something that may be in the long run, it's not going to be a big problem. But at that moment, it appears to be a huge problem. And when you react, especially when you react in front of your staff, it doesn't show that you're in control.

Always take control. But the only way could do that, and I can tell you, because this is not easy. And the only way I know I can stay in control and you can stay in control as if you plan your day the night before. And in the morning, say again, "It's going to be a great day. I'm going to be able to handle everything that comes my way." Okay. And then no matter what comes your way, you'll handle, you'll make it, still make it a great day. In the long run, you know what? Even bad things, good things come out of bad things and know that every time there's a bad situation, good things happen.

So have a great day and stay focused my friends.
