Hi, it's Tina and I'm here with your one minute management tip. You know, my Italian father always used to say if he had encountered someone who had totally different thoughts or ideas than he did, he would say, "You know what? Everybody, they're different. Everyone is very interesting. And how boring life would be if we were all the same."

Well, this is so true. But, if we are all left to do things the way we think they should be done in the practice, we can end up with lower standards and some havoc going on. This is where systems and protocols come into play. Because if you have five people in the practice and you ask each one of them how to do something, each one would probably come up with a different way to do it. And that's not such a good idea.

But if you've got a protocol established on how to do that task and everyone is trained in it, then your standard in the practice is going to go up. Why? Because everyone is doing it the same way. You're going to be able to be more efficient and more productive. If you're part of the Virtual Practice Management Institute, get into some of those modules that talk about how to develop your protocols.

And if you have any questions, just contact me. If you're not part of the Virtual Practice Management Institute and would like to take a tour of our library, all you have to do is email me at [email protected] or Dr. Peter Wishnie at [email protected]. And we'd be glad to show you the tools that are in the library that can help you to set up your systems and protocols and run your practice at a higher standard. And that everyone is on the same page doing things the same way. Because remember, we are all very different. We're all very interesting, but our practices need to run very well.

You take care. Bye.
