2017 is Top Practices’ 10-year anniversary. Over the last ten years, Top Practices has grown from working with just a handful of podiatrists to hundreds of medical professionals across North America and Australia. During these last ten years, we’ve seen a lot of changes—but some things, including several of our earliest members, have stayed with us the whole time. That’s certainly the case for one of our very first Mastermind group members: Dr. Lawrence Kales.
Dr. Kales first met Rem Jackson at a conference in Ohio a little over ten years ago. Rem was a featured speaker and offered a lot of information that intrigued Dr. Kales. Not long after the conference, Rem reached out to the podiatrist about joining Top Practices. Interested in Rem’s ideas and the possibilities for himself and his practice, Dr. Kales joined up—and hasn’t looked back since.
Over the last ten years, Dr. Kales has been a constant and fairly active member of the Mastermind group, regularly tuning in for calls and applying the strategies he learns in ways that make the most sense for his practice. That’s what he enjoys the most about his membership and why he has stayed for so long: “The ability to listen to different ideas, different ways of handling things in a practice, twice a month on the call…makes it very, very easy. […] I listen to all this information, decipher it, and decide what I want to do. […] Any time you listen to new ideas, it can’t do anything but benefit you.”
More than that, over the last ten years Dr. Kales has been motivated to succeed and achieve practice growth and many of his own goals: “It keeps me focused, and it keeps me on my goals, and it keeps me current.” He’s seen real, beneficial change as a direct result of implementing things he’s learned from the “voluminous amount of information” we are able to provide to our members.
Growth and change don’t happen overnight, but with the right strategies it is definitely possible, as Dr. Lawrence Kales can attest! As he says, “It’s a personal decision, but [membership] has been beneficial for myself, my staff, and my practice. It’s an excellent adjunct to running and administrating the practice. […] It’s up to you to pick and choose what you want and utilize it accordingly.”
We’re incredibly grateful for Dr. Kales and his continued membership over the last ten years. We’re also proud of his growth and success, and look forward to more years growing together.
