Think back to why you went into medicine. You probably didn’t earn your degree so you could deal with government interference in your practice. I don’t know a single doctor who went into the profession to wrangle insurance companies for reimbursements. No one chooses to go to medical school to fill out paperwork, navigate hospital bureaucracy, or learn the increasingly difficult “language” of medical coding, either. You didn’t sign up for any of this. And yet, these are the challenges in medicine you face today.

So here you are, living in a world you didn’t sign up for and dealing with things you didn’t expect when you became a doctor. You’re not alone. All medical professionals are in the same boat. And all around you, everyone is talking about how bad things are for doctors. As I’ve said before, this turns challenges in medicine into the Great Disabling Distracter. You become so focused on the negatives of your chosen profession that you become paralyzed. You can’t see how to deal with all the changes and challenges, much less how to succeed in your practice!

However, success IS possible. After all, there are doctors in practice today facing the same changes and challenges as you who are thriving. Their practices are busy, their patients are happy, and they are able to lead the kinds of lives they want to live. They’ve figured out the way to get past that Great Disabling Distracter and do what they did sign up for when they went into medicine: help people get well. They’ve stopped focusing on the negatives and started focusing on transforming their practice management and marketing efforts to help them reach their goals.

See, up until now, doctors had a “pass” in practice management and marketing. You didn’t have to manage your office efficiently, much less market yourself effectively, to be successful and make a good living. That is no longer the case. Now you have be a good manager and a great marketer to have the practice you want. Doctors who have focused these areas toward meeting their goals are seeing the success that you want.

At Top Practices, we understand that you didn’t learn marketing or even practice management at medical school. But we know the keystone strategies that you need for these areas. Our Mastermind group meets every month to discuss them. We’d love to have you join us. You can find out more about our group through the application or by calling us at (717) 725-2679.
