You know, I want to say something that I know, you know, but let's just say it. It is still a beautiful world. You know, have you noticed that the trees and the flowers, and the animals don't know that we're in the middle of a global pandemic? I mean, my yard is an explosion of color. The desert, when we take a walk out towards the Red Rock Canyon, which actually, when I avert my eyes that way, I can see the Red Rock Canyon. It is absolutely gorgeous. And the wild flowers, the desert flowers this year, we had a lot of rain. It is absolutely gorgeous.
And you know, someone shared this with me, this is not my original little idea or story. I think they saw a meme on Facebook, but think about this time that we're in right now. Now think about this: 20 years in the future, a 27-year-old woman says to her mother, "Mom, what do you remember about the great Coronavirus epidemic of 2020?" And her mother answers and says, "Well, you know, it was a time of great uncertainty. We were very frightened for a long time. We didn't know how it was all gonna work out. We know we pulled together. There was a lot of frustration, but we all came through it and that's mostly what I remember was the stress." She says, "What about you?" And her 27-year-old daughter looks at her and says, "That was the nicest springtime of my entire life. I had you and dad, my brother. We went on walks, we had talks, we played games. I loved every second of it."
Interesting little paradigm shift, isn't it? So remember in the middle of all of this, it is still a beautiful world. There are silver linings all over the place in this dark cloud of the moment. And if you look for them, they are great and many. So, spend your days wisely. Plan, prepare because it is still, and will always be a beautiful world.
