Managing Your Policies to Help

Hi, I’m Dr. Peter Wishnie, and here’s my One Minute Management Tip. Do you have policies? Stop saying “It’s against our policy.” Write the policies and protocols down, but the only thing you should really care about is giving the patients what they want – as long as it is legal and ethical. Saying “it’s against our policy” is the perfect way to lose a patient. Your income is directly related to your willingness and friendliness to these patients.

So folks, stop saying “How can we NOT help you?” Of course you can! If you do so, you’ll have a lot more patients that will refer more patients, and you will win. Stay focused my friends, have a great day!
