Andrew Schneider - Started with Internet marketing and had busiest January in 8 years!

Andrew Schneider DPM practices in Houston Texas. When Andrew joined the Top Practices Marketing and Mastermind Group in November of 2008 he had a website, but the number of new patients he could attribute to it was minimal.

Andrew joined the group and he realized from the very start that good marketing involves an integrated mix of smart activities that, when added together produce results with a very high return on investment. So he started with his internet marketing because he could do it fast and inexpensively. He began to do what the members of our group are doing to drastically improve their results and he stuck with it and got fantastic results in a very short period of time.

Here is how he describes it:

"The AAPPM meeting in November at Lago Mar is the first AAPPM meeting I have attended and it was outstanding. In the roundtable meetings there with Rem, and Marybeth Crane we began discussing the things I could do to make my internet marketing much better.

The first thing I did was use Google analytics to understand what was happening on my website. Google analytics is a free service offered by Google that anyone can use on their website. Here is what I learned.  I learned that back in November 62% of the people who visited my website were direct visitors. That means that they had to know my web address because they typed it in directly. These were people who knew me and my website address from somewhere that I had published it offline. 16% were referrals from another website - like a doctor directory online, and 21% were from search engines. This is an important number to know because these are the people searching for a foot doctor on the internet and these are people I want to find me. The only way people can find me online is if Google takes them to me.

I started to do the things I learned at the AAPPM meeting and in the Top Practices Mastermind Meetings every month. Now 8 weeks later, here's what's happened. My direct percentage -the people that know my name and my web address has dropped from 62% to 9%. It's actually a bigger number but as a percentage of visitors to my website it is now very small. My referral percentage is about 20% and my search engine percentage is 71% up from 21%! That means that many many people who weren't finding me or my website before are now finding me and sticking around on my site to learn.

These kinds of numbers have had a dramatic impact on the people who find me on the internet and become my patients.

The three key things I'm doing are:

1. I now regularly add content to my website - 250 to 400 words a week
2. I am regularly submitting articles to the internet using www.submityourarticle.com
3.  I'm blogging about podiatry concepts regularly using Google's free Blogger.

And here's the impact it's having in my new patient numbers. Everybody says that January  is a slow month for podiatrists, but as of the middle of January I'm already booked solid two full weeks into Feb. I've had the busiest Jan in the eight years I've been in practice and my new patient numbers are up over 100%. This is exciting, easy, free, and it really works." The return on my investment is astronomical. I wouldn't have believed this was possible before."

What I think is so great about Andrew's story is that anyone can do this in their area.
Anyone.

It's not hard or complicated. If you can use a word processor and get onto the internet you can do what Andrew did in the same period of time.

What's even better is that your competitors think that because the economy is bad they should be experiencing a downturn. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every single person in the Mastermind Group that is executing our marketing strategies is having the best months in the history of their practices. Our competitors are all hiding under a rock until the storm passes and that leaves very little barriers for those of us who just keep moving forward.

Congratulations to Andrew for taking action quickly and just doing what the people around him are telling him works. The results are there to prove that it’s a great idea to hang out with smart positive people.
