Assuming that every physician wants to have a successful practice - why is it that many do not?
The average physician is so busy seeing patients, and trying to keep their practice afloat and their employees happy that they do not have time for anything else. The thought of finding extra time to work on their practice and not only in their practice seems impossible. They continue doing what they have been doing all along and nothing changes.
Having a successful practice is not for a few chosen physicians - it is for all physicians. If you really want to have a more successful practice, simply start by seeking out practices that are what you want your practice to be.
Renowned businessman Jim Rohn once said, “You are the average of the five people you spend most of your time with.” Apply this to your practice. Who are you hanging out with? Networking provides multiple benefits, not only for the physician, but also for their staff members. When ideas are shared it creates synergy, which ignites new ideas and excitement for everyone. We can learn from each other’s failures as well as successes. When a problem arises there is nothing better than to have a trusted colleague to call on for advice. As an office manager, it is valuable to have other experienced managers to bounce ideas off of and from whom to get guidance.
Those who work in successful practices give off positive energy. They are excited about what they are doing and enjoy helping others. Their positive influence is contagious and you will want to duplicate it in your own practice. How do you find these successful practices?
